Abstract - After the power systems restructuring, major part of the demand management programs will be formed by response programs, since the nature of these programs is very compatible with the new management power system structure. Nowadays, these programs are considered as a convenient solution for rectifying some of the deregulated power systems problems. The aim of unit commitment is the generation of power units with the lowest cost. In this research, besides the introduction of demand response methods, a mechanism is presented for the simultaneous implementation of the unit commitment programs, emergency demand response and interruptible/curtailable loads programs which causes a flattened load curve and increases the reliability of the system in addition to the payment costs reduction. |
